Norway Coastal Cruise Will Never Forget – Forbes Travel Guide Story

Netherlands United States Line Starting in 2025, there have been several headlines, announcing partnerships with the History Channel to create themed coastal tours, announcing the company’s $70 million investment to enhance the guest experience in Alaska, the brand has been cruising since 1947 and even becoming a state.
Dutch American routes fall into the mid-sized category of Carnival companies, and he understands innovation floating along with amenities and services, which are factors in success in competitive cruising waters.
To better understand how linings navigate these ever-changing waters, Forbes Travel Guide jumped out of its latest ship, Rotterdam. Although this 2021-driven ship offers a powerful itinerary for the Caribbean and Panama, our 7-day Nordic legend cruise began and ended in the Netherlands, making it incredibly memorable to the small photogenic villages along the Norwegian coastline.

vessel
Thanks to its 150-year heritage, the Dutch American Line is known for attracting older travelers. While spotless Wi-Fi and state-of-the-art fitness equipment ensure the company has a grasp on the future, Rotterdam does have undeniable sophistication. Tihany Design and Yran & Storbraaten create the interior of evoking music and music architecture. What does each curvature mean? The shape of the furniture is purposeful. And, it’s no coincidence if the dining room happens to remind you of the inside of the cello.

The 1,340 rooms from the standard units to the more spacious Neptune suites may not cause obvious musical nods, but they are still in line with the rest of the boat. Our shallow wooden balcony is fully packed with width. The marble bathroom has a massage shower and Elemis toiletries. Sailor Dream Bed with European Top Mattress is plush. Water cheese water and fresh fruit are always within arm range. Even the terrace has plenty of space for two people to take pictures without colliding with each other.
Speaking of photos, the entire ship feels like a floating gallery. In fact, the art invested more than $4 million, from oil paintings from vintage boats to piano keyboards made of wood and hanging rhino pieces made of old slippers. With Murano Glass’ gadgets hanging in restaurants and full-time florists curated beautiful bouquets in the passage, every corner of the boat seemed worth a look.

food
There are over 10 dining and drinking options in Rotterdam, and if you want to taste something different in almost every meal, you can. (Fun Fact: The boat’s culinary team prepares 500 pounds of chicken and 300 pounds of rice every day, consisting of over 140 members.) On the other hand, if you want to feel like you want to attend the luxury buffet at Lido Market, we know.
While each boat has salads, cattle lo and candy, this impressive spread is unlike any buffet we have on the ocean. The stir-fry is fresh. Bread options are more abundant. Seafood has more flavor. After all, “Iron Chef” Masaharu Morimoto is the global fresh fish ambassador for the Dutch American Line, which means he ensures from the port to the plate in less than 48 hours a day.
When you want something else to have lunch, you can choose. NY Pizza & Deli has sturdy pepperoni slices and pretzels. The Dutch Café offers traditional baked goods and beer. And don’t call any guests, but we couldn’t help but notice that our former football coach Gene Chizik snatched a delicious burger on our cruise. There is an outstanding ice cream station across from the grill, which proves the perfect place to stop for afternoon snacks.
At night, you can encounter Rotterdam a little bit, so make sure the appropriate clothing is packaged. Whether you’re craving Asians (Tamarind and Sea Sushi bar by Seahushi Bar), Mediterranean (Rudi’s Sel de Mer), Italian (Canaletto) or traditional steakhouse (Pinnacle Grill), have a fun. The restaurant is an all-day elevated dining venue that does incredible things with seam bream of coriander pesto and a belt entrained with green pepper. Amidst numerous bars and lounges, we repeatedly find the Billboard back on the boat for a refreshing whiskey crush.

Onboard interference
The corners of Rotterdam are quiet (the crow’s nest is perfect for puzzles or to solve the word of the day) and loud parts (we see a woman win a $1,000 bonus on a casino slot machine), but where the boat shines is a pleasant live show. Performances such as “Songs and Dance” take you through famous Hollywood and Broadway tunes to keep you energetic and energetic.
Still, the most interesting thing about the site is probably the “city at sea”, a fast pace of the complexity of life on board – workers from 45 countries, ranging from hull painters to tailors on board – is both interesting and informative.
Of course, it can be tiring to go from a show at BB King’s Blues Club to a pickle class to a jam session after get off work. When your muscles need relief, find some places to relax in the greenhouse spa where you will find treatment rooms, steam and aroma rooms, saunas, pools, and more. Bamboo massage, acupuncture courses and other therapists are performed by skilled therapists.

Offshore detour
Norway’s coastline is amazing from the boat, but it’s extraordinary. Tours in Rotterdam bring you closer to fjords and fishing villages with guided walks, kayaking adventures and glacier tours. Keep Voss Gondola and Waffles Trek in Eidfjord, you’ll see majestic waterfalls and take a gondola over 2500 feet to Hangur Summit, where delicious waffles and coveted panoramic mountain views await you.
Skjolden is another essential stop to explore. If the watercolors of Norwegian landscapes come to life, the houses, docks and cheeses look like they do here. You can’t go wrong, set up formal hikes, but just frolicking around the bridges of the town and hiding into some of its stores at your own pace can also give you some idea.

Christians and Christians and one of the last stops of the cruise. While you may be getting through some weathering from this week’s excitement, we still recommend getting off the boat to see what Norway’s fifth largest city has to offer. Surprised by the architecture of the Kilden Center for the Performing Arts, shop along the Markens Gate and take a walk in photogenic Christiania and the Cathedral.
When you return to the boat, you will walk through Fiskebrygga, a destination for a fish market dotted with restaurants, lovely shops and a row of red and orange buildings. It’s a fantastic Norwegian scene and you want to thank Rotterdam for allowing you to achieve the results.
